These NSE stocks hit their 52-week highs or lows on July 29

SUMMARY

Indian equity benchmark indices extended losses and plunged nearly 1 percent in the noon session on Monday, mainly dragged by auto and metal stocks amid weak corporate results. At 02.58 pm, the BSE Sensex was down 233.77 points, or 0.62 percent, at 37,649.02, and the Nifty 50 was trading 101.60 points, or 0.90 percent, lower at 11,182.70. Here are some stocks that hit their 52-week highs or lows on the NSE on July 29:

Asian Paints rose 0.7 percent to hit its 52-week high of Rs 1,538.25 per share after the company reported its consolidated net profit at Rs 672.09 crore, an increase of 18 percent year-on-year.

P&G Health climbed 7.6 percent to hit its 52-week high of Rs 5,120 per share on the NSE.

Varun Beverages rose 2.8 percent to hit its 52-week high of Rs 674 per share.

Shares of Vodafone Idea slumped 29 percent to touch its 52-week low of Rs 6.55 per share after the telecom operator reported a loss in the quarter ended June 30.

Shares of Ashok Leyland fell 4.7 percent to touch its 52-week low of Rs 70.70 per share.

JSW Steel fell 5.1 percent to hit its 52-week low of Rs 236.85 per share on the NSE as sentiment for the sector remained weak on worries that overall economic slowdown will weaken demand for metals.

Shares of Tata Steel declined 3.2 percent to hit its 52-week low of Rs 431.20 per share as sentiment for the sector remained weak over economic slowdown concerns.

Shares of L&T Finance fell 4.04 percent to hit its 52-week low of Rs 99.55 per share on Monday.

Escorts Limited fell 3 percent to hit its 52-week low of Rs 459.20 per share after the company reported a 27.59 percent fall in its consolidated net profit to Rs 87.66 crore for the first quarter ended June 2019.

Hero MotoCorp fell 5.5 percent to hit its 52-week low of Rs 2,331.05 per share on the NSE after reports said that the government has proposed a hike in vehicle renewal and registration charges.
