These NSE stocks hit their 52-week lows on August 2

SUMMARY

The Indian market pared losses on Friday after opening with heavy selling pressure amid escalating US-China trade tensions. Indices across Asia and US markets tanked overnight after US President Donald Trump announced a 10 percent tariff hike on $300 billion worth of Chinese goods. At 3.00 pm the BSE Sensex was up 44.31 points, or 0.12 percent, at 37,062.63, and the Nifty 50 was trading 12.90 points, or 0.12 percent, higher at 10,992.90. Here are some stocks that hit their 52-week lows on the NSE on August 2:

Ashok Leyland fell 11.6 percent to hit its 52-week low of Rs 60.85 per share on the NSE after the auto major reported subdued July sales and disappointing numbers for the quarter ended June 30.

Tata Motors fell 3.5 percent to hit its 52-week low of Rs 60.55 per share on Friday.

Jindal Steel and Power Limited fell 8.4 percent to hit its 52-week low of Rs 117.75 per share.

Shares of Vedanta declined 4.2 percent to hit its 52-week low of Rs 139.25 per share on the NSE.

Shares of Tata Steel declined 3.6 percent to hit its 52-week low of Rs 404.60 per share on the NSE.

JSW Steel fell 3.3 percent to hit its 52-week low of Rs 217.80 per share on the NSE.

Tata Power fell 3.3 percent to hit its 52-week low of Rs 57.75 per share after the company's consolidated net profit declined by 86 percent to Rs 230.80 crore in the April-June quarter of 2019-20 mainly due to exceptional gains in the same quarter of last year, according to a regulatory filing.

Apollo Tyres fell 6.5 percent to hit its 52-week low of Rs 144.05 per share on Friday.

M&M Financials declined 4.6 percent to hits 52-week low of Rs 284.85 per share on the NSE.

Jaypee Infra declined 3.7 percent to hit its 52-week low of Rs 1.30 per share after the NCLAT overturned NCLT order directing the return of 758-acre land to Jaypee Infra under IBC.
