03:59 PM EDT, 05/21/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Most major digital assets were mixed Tuesday, with bitcoin (BTC-USD) holding around the $69,000 levels.
The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks 193 digital assets, was up 3% in the past 24 hours while the Nasdaq 100, the S&P 500 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.1%, 0.2% and 0.1%, respectively.
Bitcoin (BTC-USD), the largest cryptocurrency by market value, was little changed in the last 24 hours at $69,262, according to CoinMarketCap data. Trading volume was $56.07 billion, up 75%.
Ethereum (ETH-USD), the second-largest digital asset, was trading 9.1% higher at $3,707.
BNB (BNB-USD), the third-largest digital asset by market value excluding stablecoins, rose 4% and Solana (SOL-USD), the fourth-largest, was down 4.2%.
XRP (XRP-USD) and Dogecoin (DOGE-USD) increased 1.1% and 4.8%, respectively, while Toncoin fell 3.5%. Cardano (ADA-USD) was trading 1.9% higher.
The US 10-year Treasury yield closed at 4.414% on Tuesday, compared to 4.435% Monday, while the five-year Treasury yield closed at 4.436%, down from 4.455% a day ago.
The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry was up 1.4% in the last 24 hours at $2.57 trillion. The total trading volumes increased 118% to $164.07 billion.
