02:04 PM EDT, 08/12/2024 (MT Newswires) -- The US Securities and Exchange Commission is expanding a probe into B. Riley Financial's ( RILY ) handling of risk disclosures and the relationship between its founder Bryant Riley and Franchise Group CEO Brian Kahn, Bloomberg reported Monday, citing people familiar with the matter.

Separately, B. Riley reported a Q2 preliminary net loss and said it was suspending common dividend to "prioritize deleveraging."

Shares sank 52% as intraday trading volume catapulted to more than 12 million from a daily average of about 972,000.

JetBlue Airways ( JBLU ) said Monday it plans to offer $400 million in convertible senior notes due 2029.

Separately, JetBlue ( JBLU ) said the company and its subsidiary, JetBlue Loyalty, plan to launch a private offering of $1.5 billion in senior secured notes due 2031 and a $1.25 billion senior secured term loan B due 2029.

Shares plunged 21% as intraday trading volume soared to over 56 million from a daily average of about 11.9 million.

Fortrea Holdings ( FTRE ) shares sank amid heavy trading after the company swung to a Q2 adjusted loss amid lower revenue.

Shares slumped 22% as intraday trading volume jumped to over 3.57 million from a daily average of roughly 1.51 million.
