02:22 PM EDT, 08/16/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Shimmick ( SHIM ) shares fell 19%, a day after the water infrastructure firm reported its fiscal Q2 adjusted loss widened as revenue slumped.

Intraday volume topped 347,000 shares versus the daily average of 1.06 million.

BioNTech (BNTX) and Pfizer ( PFE ) reported that their phase 3 study assessing a combined mRNA vaccine candidate targeting influenza and COVID-19 missed one of two primary immunogenicity targets.

Shares of BioNTech fell 3% as volume topped 822,000 versus the daily average of 792,000. Shares of Pfizer ( PFE ) dropped 1.9%, with volume topping 32.7 million versus the daily average of 34 million.

Amcor ( AMCCF ) reported fiscal Q4 net sales late Thursday that fell more than estimated by analysts.

Shares slid 4.8% as volume topped 13.5 million compared with the daily average of about 10.3 million.
