The company's revenue for the next quarter lagged the average analyst estimates compiled by Capital IQ.

Shares slumped past 26%, with intraday trading volume at nearly 9.32 million compared with a daily average of about 2.19 million.

Rent the Runway ( RENT ) reported late Thursday 129,073 active subscribers in fiscal Q2, down 6% from a year ago and compared with Visible Alpha's analyst consensus of 139,300.

Jefferies cut the company's price target to $26 from $34 while maintaining its buy rating.

Shares of Rent the Runway ( RENT ) dropped about 35% as intraday trading volume rose to roughly 280,000 versus a daily average of more than 70,000.

Broadcom ( AVGO ) shares sank 9.6% intraday after the company guidance late Thursday for fiscal Q4 revenue narrowly missed the average analyst estimate compiled by Capital IQ.

Nearly 51.2 million shares traded intraday compared with a daily average of over 36.6 million.
