01:41 PM EST, 12/09/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Universe Pharmaceuticals ( UPC ) shares sank about 58% amid heavy trading after the company unveiled Monday a $15 million registered direct offering of ordinary shares and warrants.

Nearly 4.49 million shares traded intraday compared with a daily average of about 1.74 million.

Comcast ( CMCSA ) and Warner Bros. Discovery ( WBD ) reported Monday long-term agreements that will deliver Warner Bros.' content to Xfinity and Sky UK and Ireland customers using Comcast's ( CMCSA ) global technology platform.

The companies did not disclose the financial terms of the agreements.

Shares of Comcast ( CMCSA ) retreated 9.3% as intraday trading volume climbed to about 24.5 million from a daily average of more than 18.1 million.

Omnicom Group ( OMC ) agreed to acquire Interpublic Group of Cos ( IPG ). (IPG) in an all-stock deal, the companies said in a joint Monday statement.

Shares of Omnicom ( OMC ) slumped 9.2%, with intraday trading volume at over 7.19 million versus the stock's daily average of about 1.47 million.
