Shares slumped 56% intraday following a jump in trading volume to over 469.6 million from a daily average of about 155 million.

Quantum computing stocks plunged intraday Wednesday after Nvidia (NVDA) Chief Executive Jensen Huang said that "very useful quantum computers" are likely 20 years away.

Rigetti Computing ( RGTI ) sank 45%, with intraday trading volume at over 242 million compared with a daily average of 86.3 million.

Quantum Computing ( QUBT ) declined 42% after intraday trading volume soared to over 58.7 million from the stock's daily average of about 40 million.

IonQ ( IONQ ) slumped 40%, with intraday trading volume rising to more than 101.7 million versus the daily average of about 26.8 million.
