More than 1.1 million shares traded intraday compared with a daily average of about 233,000.

Houston American Energy ( HUSA ) said it agreed with several investors to purchase 2.6 million of its shares at $1.70 apiece in a registered direct offering for gross proceeds of about $4.4 million.

Shares declined nearly 22% following a jump in intraday trading volume to over 4.3 million from a daily average of about 1 million.

Hub Cyber Security ( HUBC ) said overnight that it received a Nasdaq delisting notice due to its failure to meet the minimum bid price requirement for continued listing.

Shares sank 19%, with intraday trading volume climbing to over 3.4 million versus a daily average of about 1.7 million.
