02:39 PM EDT, 06/16/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Sarepta Therapeutics ( SRPT ) shares sank 43% after the company said over the weekend that it is temporarily suspending shipments of Elevidys for non-ambulatory patients with Duchenne muscular dystrophy following a second reported case of death from acute liver failure.

Intraday trading volume soared to over 34.4 million from a daily average of about 3.9 million.

Houston American Energy ( HUSA ) said late Friday that it has become aware of unusual trading activity in its common stock on the New York Stock Exchange American on June 12 and June 13.

"The company is further announcing that there has been no material development in its business and affairs not previously disclosed or, to its knowledge, any other reason to account for the unusual market action," it said.

On Monday, shares extended volatility and were down 34% intraday, with trading volume jumping to over 2.8 million from a daily average of about 605,000.
