12:50 PM EDT, 07/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Nektar Therapeutics ( NKTR ) slid 4.5% on Thursday after the biopharmaceuticals firm overnight said it closed a $115 million public offering of its common stock, including the full exercise of an over-allotment option by underwriters for the deal.
Traders have exchanged slightly more than 800,000 shares on Thursday, roughly half the stock's average trading volume of about 1.6 million shares.
Robinhood Markets ( HOOD ) declined 4% on Thursday, giving back most of its 6% gain on Wednesday, after S&P Dow Jones Indices snubbed the discount brokerage when the markets data firm overnight issued its yearly reconstitution of the S&P 500 index.
More than 48 million Robinhood shares have been exchanged on Thursday compared with the stock's daily average of around 45.3 million shares per day.
Ryanair Holdings ( RYAOF ) declined about 1% after the Irish air carrier said it would cancel 170 flights due to a two-day strike by French air-traffic controllers that began on Thursday. The flight cancellations affected as many as 30,000 passengers, the airline said.
Trading volume was lighter than usual, with around 420,000 shares exchanged late in Thursday's holiday-shortened session. Around 1.5 million shares, on average, are exchanged during a regular session.
