Paycom Software ( PAYC ) reported late Wednesday Q3 non-GAAP earnings one cent below analysts' estimate, and revenue was a touch higher than consensus.
Shares fell 12% as intraday trading volume climbed to more than 1.2 million from a daily average of roughly 678,000.
ACV Auctions ( ACVA ) shares sank 36% after the company reported a wider Q3 loss from a year ago late Wednesday.
Bank of America downgraded ACV's shares to underperform, with a $6 price target.
More than 19 million shares of ACV traded intraday compared with a daily average of nearly 3 million.
