More than 9.36 million shares of the company traded intraday compared with a daily average of about 2.33 million.

Zimmer Biomet ( ZBH ) reported a year-over-year increase in Q1 adjusted earnings and sales on Tuesday and said its chief financial officer, Suketu Upadhyay, is leaving the company.

Shares slumped 11% as intraday trading volume soared to more than 5.32 million from a daily average of about 2.13 million.

Pentair ( PNR ) reported stronger-than-expected Q1 adjusted earnings and sales growth on Tuesday, but the company revised the bottom end of its full-year revenue growth forecast.
