01:43 PM EDT, 06/10/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Kwesst Micro Systems ( KWE ) said Monday it received a sub-contract valued at up to 48 million Canadian dollars ($34.8 million) from Thales Canada to deliver software services to support the Canadian Army's digital modernization efforts.

Shares surged 122% as intraday trading volume catapulted to more than 257 million from a daily average of under 202,000.

ICC Holdings ( ICCH ) said late Saturday that it entered a deal to be acquired by Mutual Capital Group for $23.50 per share in cash.

Shares climbed 43% in recent trading Monday as intraday trading volume rose to more than 570,000 versus the stock's daily average of under 900.

Wedbush Securities adjusted Virco Manufacturing's (VIRC) price target to $19 from $16 while keeping its outperform rating after the company reported Q1 results Friday, including an increase of more than a third in its revenue.

Shares rose nearly 20% in recent trading as intraday trading volume advanced to over 580,000 from a daily average of about 130,000.
