02:13 PM EDT, 07/18/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Chuy's Holdings (CHUY) shares soared nearly 48% after the company said late Wednesday it agreed to be acquired by Darden Restaurants (DRI) for $37.50 per share.

More than 2.70 million shares traded intraday compared with a daily average of about 161,000.

Amphenol ( APH ) said Thursday it signed a definitive agreement to acquire the mobile networks businesses of CommScope ( COMM ) for $2.1 billion in cash, subject to customary post-closing adjustments.

Shares of CommScope ( COMM ) rose 8% as intraday trading volume advanced to more than 36.6 million from a daily average of about 4.15 million.

Silo Pharma ( SILO ) said Thursday it entered into a device and development master plan with Resyca, a medical technology provider.

Resyca is a joint venture between Bespak Group and Medspray Pharma, which manufactures a spray system chosen by Silo for its lead candidate SPC-15, an intranasal prophylactic treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder.

Shares of Silo soared nearly 57% as intraday trading volume catapulted to more than 92.8 million versus the stock's daily average of about 3.3 million.
