02:21 PM EDT, 07/29/2024 (MT Newswires) -- ON Semiconductor's (ON) fiscal Q2 results topped market estimates, and its outlook for Q3 earnings matched analyst expectations at the midpoint.

Shares jumped 12% as intraday trading volume soared to over 14.7 million from a daily average of about 5.78 million.

Lipella Pharmaceuticals ( LIPO ) said Monday that it initiated the enrollment of the first patients in its multi-center phase 2a clinical trial evaluating LP-310 for Oral Lichen Planus.

"We are very pleased with the rapid pace of site activation, and the enrollment of our initial patients marks a pivotal milestone," Chief Executive Jonathan Kaufman said.

Shares more than doubled as intraday trading volume catapulted to over 184.4 million from a daily average of about 46,000.

CommScope ( COMM ) shares were up 22% intraday after the company said Monday it expects Q2 net sales of $1.39 billion. Analysts expected $1.24 billion in a Capital IQ poll.

More than 10.5 million shares traded intraday compared with a daily average of about 4.7 million.
