02:02 PM EDT, 08/19/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Alzamend Neuro ( ALZN ) shares skyrocketed 356% after the company said Monday that Massachusetts General Hospital will be its contract research organization to conduct a phase 2 clinical study of AL001 to treat patients with post-traumatic stress disorder.

More than 71.3 million shares traded intraday compared with a daily average of about 26,000.

ARCA biopharma (ABIO) said late Friday that it will distribute a special dividend estimated to be $1.59 per share, subject to approval by ARCA shareholders of a proposed merger with Oruka Therapeutics.

Shares of ARCA jumped 20%, with intraday trading volume at over 516,000 compared with a daily average of about 78,000.

Marriott International ( MAR ) said Monday it formed a long-term licensing agreement with Sonder Holdings ( SOND ) in a deal expected to add 9,000 rooms to its portfolio this year and 1,500 afterward.

Shares of Sonder ( SOND ) surged 126% as intraday trading volume soared to more than 26.6 million from a daily average of about 87,000.
