02:00 PM EDT, 08/21/2024 (MT Newswires) -- GD Culture Group ( GDC ) and its subsidiary, AI Catalysis, said Wednesday that they have launched a TikTok account, @streamlineainews, to disseminate updates, insights, and trends related to artificial intelligence.

The company said content on the account will be regularly updated, covering everything from breakthroughs in machine learning to the latest AI applications and tools.

Shares of GD almost doubled after midday Wednesday as intraday trading volume catapulted to over 47 million from a daily average of about 119,000.

Bitfarms ( BITF ) will acquire rival cryptocurrency miner Stronghold Digital Mining ( SDIG ) for $125 million in stock and the assumption of about $50 million in debt, the companies said Wednesday.

Shares of Stronghold advanced 67% as intraday trading volume rose to over 55.7 million versus the stock's daily average of about 598,000.

Neonode ( NEON ) shares increased amid heavy trading after its patent lawsuit over the Samsung Electronics touchscreen was revived by the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, according to a court document.

Shares rose 44% as intraday trading volume climbed to more than 4.7 million from a daily average of about 281,000.
