01:48 PM EDT, 03/31/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Biogen (BIIB) agreed to acquire biopharmaceutical firm Apellis Pharmaceuticals ( APLS ) to strengthen its immunology and rare-diseases portfolio while accelerating an expansion into nephrology.

Shares of Apellis catapulted 135% as intraday trading volume soared to over 73.9 million from a daily average of about 2.8 million.

Eli Lilly ( LLY ) said Tuesday it has agreed to acquire Centessa Pharmaceuticals ( CNTA ) in a deal valued at up to about $7.8 billion.

Shares of Centessa soared 44% as intraday trading volume rose to over 35.2 million from a daily average of roughly 1.43 million.

Classover ( KIDZ ) said Tuesday the Nasdaq Stock Market has confirmed that the company has regained compliance with the bourse's minimum bid price listing rule.

Shares jumped 58% as intraday trading volume climbed to more than 84.4 million from a daily average of about 677,000.
