Neurocrine Biosciences ( NBIX ) said Monday it has struck a deal to buy Soleno Therapeutics ( SLNO ) for $53.00 a share in cash to expand its endocrinology and rare disease portfolio. The deal

represents a total equity value of $2.9 billion.
