Indian equity indices, the BSE Sensex and the NSE Nifty 50, are likely to start positive on Thursday. The Singapore-traded SGX Nifty traded at levels around 11,640 Vs Nifty Future’s Tuesday close of 11,586, indicating a gap-up opening for Indian market. The BSE Sensex ended at 38,285.75 on Tuesday, marginally up by 7 points, while the NSE Nifty 50 settled at 11,570.90, higher by 19.15 points.

ICICI Securities: ICICI Bank managing director and chief executive officer (CEO) Chanda Kochhar has offered herself for re-appointment as director on the board of the bank's subsidiary ICICI Securities.
Strides Pharma Science: The pharma firm on Wednesday said its step-down wholly owned subsidiary has received acceptance from the US health regulator for two key abbreviated new drug applications (ANDAs). The company said the two products could be eligible for a potential 180-day exclusivity.
Jet Airways: The financially-stressed aviation firm said on Wednesday it would consider cost-reduction measures and a turnaround plan at its August 27 board meeting, which would also take up Jet Airway's June-quarter financial results.

Adani Green Energy: The Adani group company has subscribed to 80 percent equity share capital of Adani Phuoc Minh Wind Power Company, Vietnam. Company has signed subscription agreement for subscription of 5,100 shares of Adani Solar USA Inc. constituting 51 percent of the total number of shares of Adani Solar USA Inc.
Granules India: The firm got US FDA nod for anti-gastric disorder drug, Ranitidine tablet.
