Indian equity indices, the BSE Sensex and the NSE Nifty 50, are likely to start positive on Thursday. The Singapore-traded SGX Nifty traded at levels around 11,640 Vs Nifty Future’s Tuesday close of 11,586, indicating a gap-up opening for Indian market. The BSE Sensex ended at 38,285.75 on Tuesday, marginally up by 7 points, while the NSE Nifty 50 settled at 11,570.90, higher by 19.15 points.

ICICI Securities: ICICI Bank managing director and chief executive officer (CEO) Chanda Kochhar has offered herself for re-appointment as director on the board of the bank's subsidiary ICICI Securities.

Strides Pharma Science: The pharma firm on Wednesday said its step-down wholly owned subsidiary has received acceptance from the US health regulator for two key abbreviated new drug applications (ANDAs). The company said the two products could be eligible for a potential 180-day exclusivity.

Jet Airways: The financially-stressed aviation firm said on Wednesday it would consider cost-reduction measures and a turnaround plan at its August 27 board meeting, which would also take up Jet Airway's June-quarter financial results.

Jaypee Associates: The debt-ridden real estate firm will go to the National Company Law Tribunal after RBI rejected a plea from bankers seeking special dispensation for the company. Also rules out any out-of-court settlement.

UltraTech Cement: The Competition Commission of India approved proposed acquisition of cement business of Century Textiles & Industries.

Lupin: Lupin Global launched generic Clobetasol Propionate Cream USP 0.05 percent in the US. Clobetasol Propionate is used to treat skin disorders including Eczema & Psoriasis.

Subex: The company has bagged order from Turk Telekom.

Cement stocks: Macquarie is bullish on the sector. Ambuja Cement, India Cements and ACC gained over 2.5 percent on Tuesday's trade.

Adani Green Energy: The Adani group company has subscribed to 80 percent equity share capital of Adani Phuoc Minh Wind Power Company, Vietnam. Company has signed subscription agreement for subscription of 5,100 shares of Adani Solar USA Inc. constituting 51 percent of the total number of shares of Adani Solar USA Inc.

Granules India: The firm got US FDA nod for anti-gastric disorder drug, Ranitidine tablet.

HDFC AMC: The company's Q1 profit rose to Rs 205.26 crore versus Rs 164.57 crore; revenue rose to Rs 471.23 crore versus Rs 390.42 crore (YoY).

Nestle India: Partnered with Flipkart to launch Maggi 'Special Masala' noodles.

GE Power: Selected by BHEL for supply of 1 6F.03 turbine and a generator which will be installed at HPCL’s refinery at Vizag in India.

ITI: Received a letter of intent for Maharashtra state government for execution of project for value of Rs 2,658 crore for two packages.

Welspun Corp: Entered into an agreement for supply of 56 KMT of pipes for oil and gas project in US. With this addition, its current order book stands at 1,605 KMTs valued at Rs 12,000 crore.

BPCL: Hydrocracker unit at Mumbai refinery to shut down.

Mahanagar Gas: BG Asia Pacific to sell 1.38 crore shares valued at $170 million. Floor price set at Rs 851 per share, 5.7 percent discount to closing price. Residual 10 percent stake locked up to June 29, 2019. Citi is the book runner to the deal.
