State Bank of India: The bank, which was handling most of the payments to Iran for oil purchases, is now complying with the US sanctions against Tehran, its chairman said. The bank on Monday beat analysts' expectations, reporting a net profit of 40.3 percent in the second quarter.
Jet Airways: The promoter of cash-strapped Jet Airways Naresh Goyal has been reportedly approaching top corporate houses, including the Tata for a possible equity infusion.
Fortis Healthcare: Fortis Healthcare on Monday reported widening of its consolidated net loss to Rs 142 crore for the quarter ended September 2018, mainly impacted by impairment of goodwill and investments.
Ujjivan Financial Services: Financial services company Ujjivan is likely to consider listing small finance bank via a scheme of arrangement, wherein they would issue shares in the bank to existing shareholders, said sources familiar with the matter.
Andhra Bank: State-owned Andhra Bank on Monday said it will divest its stake either fully or partially in various joint venture firms. The board of directors of the bank at its meeting held on November 11, 2018, accorded its approval for divestment of bank's stake in full or in part in joint venture investments of the bank -- ASREC India Ltd, India International Bank (Malaysia) Bhd and IndiaFirst Life Insurance Co Ltd, Andhra Bank said in a regulatory filing.
DHFL: Housing finance company DHFL on Monday said it has repaid commercial papers (CP) worth Rs 1,775 crore. DHFL since September 21, 2018, had repaid commercial paper holders Rs 9,465 crore including buyback worth Rs 3,240 crore, the company said in a statement.
PNB Housing Finance: PNB Housing Finance on Monday reported a jump of 33 per cent in consolidated net profit at Rs 252.99 crore in the second quarter ended September 2018. It had posted a net profit of Rs 190.05 crore in the corresponding July-September period of 2017-18, the company said in a regulatory filing.
Punjab National Bank: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested an executive of a firm linked to fugitive jeweller Mehul Choksi on Monday in connection with its money-laundering probe in the $2-billion PNB fraud case, officials said.
HCL Technologies: The company, along with Deutsche Bank, will launch cloud-based digital cheque processing operations, according to an exchange filing.
Tata Steel: Tata Steel Ltd will adopt a unified branding strategy for all newly-acquired companies, a top official of the steel major said on Monday. The company has recently taken over stressed steel plants of Bhushan Steel and the steel business of Usha Martin. It is also vying for more assets referred to the NCLT.
