Indian shares likely will start positive on Monday responding to better-than-expected economic data although global cues are mixed with lingering US-China trade war concerns. The Singapore-traded SGX Nifty trades positive indicating a green opening on Dalal Street today.

The BSE Sensex ended lower by 45 points, or 0.12 percent, to 38,645 on Friday, while the NSE Nifty 50 settled marginally up by 3.70 percent, or 0.03 percent, at 11,680.50. Energy and largecap shares along with bank stocks were a major drag on indexes, while IT and pharma supported.

Wipro:
The IT firm said that it had won a deal which is more than $1.5 billion over 10 years from Illinois-based Alight solutions LLC.
TVS Motor: The two-wheeler major said it sold a total of 343,217 units (two and three-wheelers) last month up from 317,563 units sold in August 2017.
Larsen & Toubro Infotech: L&T to sell 59 lakh shares (representing 3.41 percent of total paid up equity) of the company through offer for sale on September 3 and 4, with an option to additionally sell 46,27,288 equity shares representing 2.67 percent of paid up equity. Floor price of the offer will be Rs 1,700 per share.
Graphite India: Company's wholly owned subsidiary in Netherlands has signed an investment agreement for acquisition of upto 46 percent stake in General Graphene Corporation, an unlisted US company involved in development of Graphene for commercial applications, for $18.595 million.
Eicher Motors: The company said it sold 69,377 units last month, up from 67,977 units sold in August 2017.
Coal India: India's coal import rose 11.9 per cent to 78.7 million tonnes in the first four months of the current fiscal.
HAL: R. Madhavan took over as chairman and managing director of defence PSU Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) from T. Suvarna Raju on Saturday.
Auto stocks: Automobile companies' shares will remain in focus with the release of monthly sales data.
Aurobindo Pharma: The pharma firm gets USFDA nod for anti-HIV drug, Efavirenz (600 mg).
Britannia Industries: LIC increased its stake in the company by 0.014 percent to 5.009 percent.
Idea Cellular: Name of the company changed from Idea Cellular to Vodafone Idea.
Companies under watch: The Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) is inspecting six companies, namely, NuPower Renewables, Supreme Energy, Videocon Industries, Pacific Capital Services, NuPower Wind Farms and Echanda Urja.
Godrej Consumer Products: Company through its subsidiary has divested its entire stake in Godrej Consumer Products (UK) Ltd for 34 million pound. Buyer is US-based PE firm JZ International.
