Traders Eye Next Week's Tech Earnings Slate, Driving Narrow Premarket Gains for US Equity Futures

08:26 AM EDT, 10/25/2024 (MT Newswires) -- US equity futures were marginally higher pre-bell Friday as traders brace for key technology earnings scheduled for release next week.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average futures gained 0.2%, S&P 500 futures increased 0.3%, and Nasdaq futures were up 0.3%.

Alphabet (GOOG, GOOGL), Microsoft ( MSFT ) , Meta Platforms ( META ) , Apple ( AAPL ) , and Amazon ( AMZN ) are all due to report next week.

Oil prices were higher, with front-month global benchmark North Sea Brent crude up 0.9% at $75.05 per barrel and US West Texas Intermediate crude 0.9% higher at $70.83 per barrel.

New orders for durable goods, scheduled for release at 8:30 am ET, are expected to fall 1.1% in September after showing a no change in August.

The Consumer Sentiment Index, slated for 10 am ET, is expected to ease to 68.9 in October versus 70.1 previously.
