05:44 PM EDT, 05/21/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Universal Technical Institute ( UTI ) will join the S&P SmallCap 600, effective before the market opens next Wednesday, S&P Dow Jones Indices said late Thursday.

Universal Technical Institute ( UTI ) will replace Veris Residential ( VRE ) , which is being acquired by Affinius Capital and Vista Hill Partners in a deal expected to close soon, according to the statement.

Universal Technical Institute ( UTI ) shares rose 5.2% in after-hours activity.
