Grid Dynamics Holdings ( GDYN ) shares were up nearly 10% in recent Friday trading after the company's upcoming inclusion into the S&P SmallCap 600 index next week.

The company is set to join the S&P SmallCap 600 index on Jan. 2, the S&P (SPGI) Dow Jones Indices said late Thursday.

The technology consulting firm will replace Revelyst ( GEAR ) , which is being acquired by Strategic Value Partners in a deal expected to close soon, according to the index operator.
