U.S. Crude Oil Inventories Rise 7.3 Million Barrels Week-Over-Week, EIA Reports

06:12 AM EDT, 05/02/2024 (MT Newswires) -- US crude oil inventories recorded a build of 7.3 million barrels to 460.9 million barrels in the week ended April 26, the U.S. Energy Information Administration said in its This Week in Petroleum report.

Crude oil production remained steady week-over-week at 13.1 million barrels per day (b/d). Crude oil imports increased 38,000 b/d to 6.5 million b/d, while crude oil exports fell 26,000 b/d to 4.1 million b/d.

Total gasoline stocks rose 400,000 barrels from the previous week to 227.1 million barrels, the EIA reported.

Meanwhile, total distillate stocks fell 700,000 barrels to 115.9 million barrels week over week.
