US Securities Held Outright by Fed Decline as of Sept. 4 Compared with Previous Week

04:40 PM EDT, 09/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- The Federal Reserve's total holdings of US securities fell by $9.90 billion to $6.691 trillion as of Sept. 4 compared with the level a week earlier.

The Fed's holdings of US Treasury securities accounted for the entire decline, falling by $9.90 billion to $4.389 trillion. Holdings of US mortgage-backed securities held steady at $2.300 trillion.

Total Federal Reserve assets decreased by $10.67 billion to $7.113 trillion.
