US Securities Held Outright by Fed Declines as of Dec. 4 Compared with Previous Week on Treasuries Drop

04:37 PM EST, 12/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- The Federal Reserve's total holdings of US securities fell by $7.59 billion to $6.567 trillion as of Dec. 4 compared with the level a week earlier.

The Fed's holdings of US Treasury securities accounted for the entire decline, falling by $7.59 billion to $4.316 trillion, while holdings of US mortgage-backed securities held steady at $2.249 trillion.

Total Federal Reserve assets decreased by $9.31 billion to $6.896 trillion.
