04:35 PM EDT, 08/15/2024 (MT Newswires) -- The Federal Reserve's total holdings of US securities fell by $31 million to $6.734 trillion as of Aug. 14 compared with the level a week earlier.

The Fed's holdings of US Treasury securities rose by $35 million to $4.414 trillion, while holdings of US mortgage-backed securities fell by $66 million to $2.318 trillion.

Total Federal Reserve assets increased by $2.43 billion to $7.178 trillion.
