US Solar Stocks Decline as Senate Committee Eliminates Energy Credits
Jun 17, 2025 4:19 AM

06:47 AM EDT, 06/17/2025 (MT Newswires) -- The share prices for US solar energy companies fell during recent premarket activity on Tuesday.

Sunrun ( RUN ) shares were down 27% and SolarEdge Technologies ( SEDG ) tumbled 21%, while Enphase Energy ( ENPH ) shares dropped 17% and First Solar ( FSLR ) lost 11%.

This comes after the US Senate Finance Committee made changes to President Donald Trump's tax-cut and spending bill that will phase out solar, wind, and energy tax credits by 2028, Reuters reported Monday.

Senate Republicans will debate the changes as they attempt to pass the legislation before July 4, according to the report.
