Jan 8 (Reuters) - U.S. stock index futures fell on

Wednesday after CNN reported President-elect Donald Trump was

considering a national economic emergency declaration to allow

for new tariff program.

At 06:42 a.m. ET, Dow E-minis were down 89 points,

or 0.21%, S&P 500 E-minis were down 16.25 points, or

0.27% and Nasdaq 100 E-minis were down 69.25 points, or

0.32%.
