May 23 (Reuters) - U.S. stock index futures turned lower
on Friday as shares of Apple ( AAPL ) dropped after U.S. President Donald
Trump said the company would have to pay a 25% tariff if phones
sold in the country are not made within its borders.
Shares of the iPhone maker dropped 3.1% to $195.26
in premarket trading.
At 07:29 a.m. ET, Dow E-minis were down 126 points,
or 0.3%, S&P 500 E-minis were down 19 points, or 0.32%,
and Nasdaq 100 E-minis were down 88.25 points, or 0.42%.
