Oct 31 (Reuters) - The S&P 500 and the Nasdaq opened
higher on Friday after upbeat forecasts from Apple and Amazon
helped calm nerves, a day after the indexes suffered their
sharpest drop in more than three weeks.
At 09:30 a.m., the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose
64.86 points, or 0.13%, to 47,586.98, the S&P 500 gained
50.31 points, or 0.74%, to 6,872.65 and the Nasdaq Composite
gained 356.45 points, or 1.51%, to 23,932.36.
