March 16 (Reuters) - Wall Street's main indexes opened
higher on Monday with shares of Meta among the top gainers after
a report said the megacap was prepping for sweeping AI-related
layoffs, even as elevated crude prices due to the raging Middle
East conflict kept risk-taking in check.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 148.9 points,
or 0.32%, at the open to 46,707.4. The S&P 500 rose 42.2
points, or 0.64%, to 6,674.37, while the Nasdaq Composite
rose 235.0 points, or 1.06%, to 22,340.388.
