Aug 7 (Reuters) - Wall Street's main indexes opened
higher on Wednesday as technology stocks gained after Japan's
top policymaker calmed investor worries over interest rates
after a surprise hike last week partly set off heavy volatility
in global markets.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 232.4 points,
or 0.60%, at the open to 39,230.09.
The S&P 500 rose 53.1 points, or 1.01%, at the open
to 5,293.13, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 255.5
points, or 1.56%, to 16,622.31 at the opening bell.
