Feb 27 (Reuters) - Wall Street's main indexes opened
lower on Friday as AI anxiety dragged on tech stocks, with the
Nasdaq bracing for its steepest monthly drop since March 2025,
while hotter-than-expected inflation data also dampened
sentiment.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 245.6 points,
or 0.50%, at the open to 49253.57. The S&P 500 fell 52.3
points, or 0.76%, at the open to 6856.54, while the Nasdaq
Composite dropped 263.0 points, or 1.15%, to 22615.429
at the opening bell.
