Earlier data showed US GDP grew by 1.3% in the first quarter, down from 3.4% in the last quarter of 2023.
US unemployment claims rose by 3 thousand to 219 thousand last week.
Tomorrow, important US consumer spending data will be released, and its the Feds favorite gauge for inflation.
On trading, Dow Jones fell 0.8%, or 314 points as of 17:37 GMT to 38,132, while SP 500 fell 0.3%, or 14 points to 5252, as NASDAQ slid 0.5%, or 84 points to 16,836.
