The S&P 500 and Dow Jones futures were down 0.4% recently, while the Nasdaq futures lost 0.5%.
Asian markets were mixed at closing, while several major European markets remained closed for the second day.
Early movers include Color Star Technology (ADD), which surged past 100%, and Snow Lake Resources (LITM), which rose by more than 22% hours before the opening bell.
Polestar Automotive Holding UK (PSNY) and Universal (UVV) are among the companies releasing quarterly reports within the day.
On the economic calendar, jobless claims will be reported at 8:30 am ET, to be followed by the EIA Petroleum Status Report at 11 am and the Fed Balance Sheet at 4:30 pm.
In premarket action, Bitcoin traded at $95,396.41, West Texas Intermediate crude oil was 0.4% higher at $70.49, and 10-year US Treasuries offered 4.6%. Spot gold traded for $2,628.96 an ounce.
