09:10 AM EDT, 03/20/2026 (MT Newswires) -- US stocks look set to open lower in Friday's trading session as investors remain jittery over gyrating oil prices spurred by the Middle East war, with US markets on pace for their fourth straight losing week.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average futures were declining 0.3%, S&P 500 futures were off 0.4%, and Nasdaq futures were tracking 0.5% lower.
Oil prices were moving lower, with front-month global benchmarks Brent crude declining 0.6% to $107.99 a barrel, while West Texas Intermediate crude was down 0.5% to $95.04 a barrel.
The Baker Hughes domestic oil-and-gas rig count, which gauges demand for oil products, will be released at 1 pm ET.
In other world markets, Japan's Nikkei plunged 3.4%, Hong Kong's Hang Seng fell 0.9%, and China's Shanghai Composite dropped 1.2%. Meanwhile in Europe's early afternoon session, the UK's FTSE 100 was up 0.2%, Germany's DAX edged 0.1% higher, and France's CAC gained 0.2%.
In equities, Planet Labs (PL) shares were 20% higher in Friday premarket activity after the company posted overnight a narrower fiscal Q4 adjusted loss and higher revenue in addition to issuing higher-than-expected fiscal Q1 and 2027 revenue guidance.
Shares of York Space Systems ( YSS ) gained 13% after it reported late Thursday Q4 revenue that topped analysts' expectations, and issued its 2026 outlook.
Scholastic's (SCHL) stock rose 9.5% after it reported a fiscal Q3 adjusted loss late Thursday that was narrower than Street estimates.
On the losing side, Super Micro Computer ( SMCI ) shares tumbled 24% in Friday premarket activity, a day after the company said it placed two of its employees on administrative leave and terminated a contractor, effective immediately, after US prosecutors indicted all three individuals over allegedly conspiring to commit export-control violations.
Flowco ( FLOC ) shares were 10% lower, after it said late Thursday it priced an underwritten public offering of 7.8 million class A common shares by selling shareholders at $22 apiece.
Unusual Machines ( UMAC ) stock was declining 8% after the company said late Thursday it launched a public offering of common shares.
