Weakness in banks gives a chance to buy quality at reasonable prices, says Marcellus Investment
Sep 21, 2020 3:22 AM

There will be significant consolidation in private sector banks, said Saurabh Mukherjea, founder, Marcellus Investment Managers. Mukherjea added that the "jitteriness" is expected to continue for the rest of the year as it will give investors a chance to buy the best lenders of the country.

According to him, after COVID, the consolidation in the non-banking financial companies (NBFCs) will be more pronounced than that in the banking sector.

Within the pharmaceutical sector, Divi’s Laboratories enjoys a monopoly, he noted. GMM Pfaudler has a good runaway ahead of it, added Mukherjea.

"The auto sector revival clearly is being driven by the smaller town and quasi rural India," Mukherjea said.

He advises to hold Escorts, V-Mart and TCS.
