From Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s ‘Tiger 3’ to ‘BTS: Yet to Come’ docu-series, the new releases this Diwali weekend are going to add more joy to your festive mood.Here are the top picks from all the new films and web series that you can watch on this long weekend of Diwali with family and friends.

Tiger 3 (Theatre) |Maneesh Sharma helmed ‘Tiger 3’ is the fifth instalment of YRF Spy Universe following Tiger series, WAR and Pathaan. The movie marks the return of Avinash Singh Rathore aka Tiger and Zoya, reprised by Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, respectively. The plot of ‘Tiger 3’ delves around the protagonists being framed as traitors by a terrorist, who wants to destroy the duo. Apart from Salman and Katrina, the movie features Emraan Hashmi, Kumud Mishra and Revathy among others. It has been slated to release at the theatres on the occasion of Diwali on Sunday, November 12.

Rainbow Rishta (Amazon Prime Video) |‘Rainbow Rishta’ is a docu-series that talks about the celebration of love, courage and hope while symbolising the indomitable spirit of the LGBTQ+ community in India. The documentary consists of six heart-warming real life stories of people from queer community.Jaydeep Sarkar directed ‘Rainbow Rishta’ docu-series featuring Trinetra Haldar Gummmaraji, Aishwarya Ayushmaan, Daniella Mendonca, Sanam Choudhury, Suresh Ramdas, and Aneez Saikia, in pivotal roles. It has been streaming on Amazon Prime Video from Wednesday, November 8.

Ghoomer (Zee5) |The sports drama which was released in theatres in August is now streaming on OTT. ‘Ghoomer’ was released on Zee5 on Friday, November 10. R Balki helmed ‘Ghoomer’ features Abhishek Bachchan, Saiyami Kher, Shabana Azmi and Angad Bedi, among others. Amitabh Bachchan has also worked in the movie as a narrator.The plot of the movie revolves around a young batting prodigy named Anina who loses her right hand in an accident. The story portrays how she gets trained by a failed cricketer and brings unconventional bowling technique called, Ghoomer, to regain her identity in the cricket world. Abhishek Bachchan plays her coach.

The Marvels (Theatre) |‘The Marvels’ is an American superhero movie, based on the Marvel comics. It is going to hit the big screen on Friday, November 10. The film has been directed and co-written by Nia DaCosta while featuring Brie Larson, Tayonah Parris and Iman Vellani in prominent roles.

Pippa (Amazon Prime Video) |‘Pippa’ is a wartime saga based on a book titled, ‘The Burning Chaffees’ by Retired Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta. It narrates the real life story of 1971 Indo-Pak war hero Balram Singh Mehta, then a Captain in the 45 Cavalry Tank Squadron. The movie is based on the heroic tales of the Indian Army at the ‘Battle of Garibpur’. Ishaan Khattar plays the role of Retd. Brigadier Mehta. The Raja Krishna Menon helmed film features Mrunal Thakur, Priyanshu Painyuli and Soni Razdan in the lead roles. The movie has been streaming on Amazon Prime Video from Wednesday, November 8.

BTS: Yet to Come (Amazon Prime Video) |The global sensation BTS is on the streaming platform Amazon Prime Video from Thursday, November 9, to win more hearts by taking the viewers through a journey of a concert film. It is a documentary series delving into the 19 live BTS shows with all behind the scenes.Yoon-Dong helmed ‘Yet to Come’ showcases the unseen footage of the Korean boy band featuring RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook from their 2022 Busan World Expo performance.
