Gold prices in India traded higher on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) Monday on safe-haven demand as rising coronavirus cases in the country dampened investor risk-appetite, analysts said. At 10:35 am, gold futures for June delivery rose 0.10 percent to Rs 46,640 per 10 grams as against the previous close of Rs 46,593 and opening price of Rs 46,545 on the MCX. Silver futures traded 0.08 percent lower at Rs 66,932 per kg. The prices opened at Rs 66,786 as compared to the previous close of Rs 66,983 per kg.
