Baharampur is an Assembly constituency in the Murshidabad district, in the South East Bengal region of West Bengal.The Baharampur constituency went to polls on April 29, 2021.The assembly seat is reserved for the General category.

In the 2016 Assembly elections, Baharampur was won by Manoj Chakraborty of RSP.Before that, in the 2011 elections, the seat was held by Manoj Chakraborty of INC.In the 2016 assembly polls, Manoj Chakraborty garnered 127762 votes, securing over 67.89 percent of the vote share, and winning the seat by a margin of 92273 votes.

In percentage terms, the victory margin was 49.03 percent.The constituency polled 188636 votes in the 2016 West Bengal assembly polls with a voter turnout of 79.72 percent.The Baharampur constituency has a literacy level of 67.53 percent.A total of 6 candidates stood in the 2016 elections.
