The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday exuded confidence that it can win 300 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in 2019, adding that people will judge Narendra Modi government based on track record of fighting corruption.
In an exclusive interview to CNN-New18, Ram Madhav, general secretary, slammed Congress president Rahul Gandhi, says he is a non-serious politician.
Talking on Gandhi's temple-hopping spree, he said Congress president’s own people like Shashi Tharoor say temple isn't what Hindus want.
Describing Congress as the most communal party, Madhav said temple construction is the best way to bring Hindus and Muslims together, “Even today, I appeal to all Muslims to come together and facilitate building of a Ram temple in Ayodhya."
On Ram janmabhoomi, he said Congress leader Buta Singh got the shilanyas done, Gandhi wants to be Ram Bhakt one day and Tharoor wants Hindus to give up temple.
Controversy surrounding National Register of Citizens (NRC), he said it will not be repeated in any other state, but leaders can approach courts if they want.
The BJP leader said from Rafael deal to economy, the Congress is only busy lying about everything.
Speaking on economic fugitives, Madhav said whether it's Nirav Modi or Mehul Choksi, they are all running from pillar to post and all corrupt people will be brought to Ranchi jail.
On alliance with Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Madhav said as of now, Mayawati is not there with us, but BJP is assessing situation over the next few months.
