Ace stock market investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala on Wednesday said he wants the BJP to return to power after the 2019 general elections and the party will surprise on the upside with its seat tally in the Lok Sabha polls.
"I would like that Narendra Modi becomes the Prime Minister of this country again. My personal judgement at this moment says that the BJP tally will surprise on the upside," Jhunjhunwala said.
"There is pride in India and Indianness, I am not saying Hindu and Hinduness, I am saying India and Indianness, so why should I not? And don't you want a common civil code? Why should I not be allowed to own land in Jammu and Kashmir? The world is not going to end if one temple is made if you believe that Ram was born there. So I am an out and out BJP supporter," he said.

Terming investing as a serious business, he advised non-professional investors like the salaried class to invest through the mutual funds route and keep aside not more than 10 percent for self-investing if excitement is what they are looking for.
On the bloodbath in the midcaps last year, in which he lost heavily, Jhunjhunwala said investors should blame themselves for the mistake of investing at such high valuations.
