The Rajya Sabha is debating the Citizenship Amendment Bill today. The contentious bill seeks to provide citizenship to non-Muslim refugees from Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh escaping religious persecution.
Protests against the bill have intensified in the North Eastern states - the administration has already imposed Section 144 in several parts of Assam. Meanwhile, internet services remain suspended in Tripura. Protests have also erupted in the national capital. CNBC-TV18's Rituparna Bhuyan spoke to some of the protestors in Delhi to get their views.
