Priyanka Chaturvedi, the former spokesperson of Congress, on Friday joined Shiv Sena.
The 39-year old Chaturvedi, who was the national spokesperson of the Congress, quit the party last night, a day after going public with her resentment on social media.
Addressing a press conference with Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, Chaturvedi said she left the Congress after being upset over the reinstatement of party workers who misbehaved with her.
The former Congress worker, who has been a columnist for Tehelka, DNA and Firstpost, had lashed out at the party in public on Thursday and accused it of giving preference to "lumpen goons" over those who had given their "sweat and blood" to the Congress.
Congress had suspended those workers but again reinstated them on April 15.
