Amid reports of infighting in Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Sharad Pawar's daughter Supriya Sule on Tuesday said there is no rift in the party and only one leader has joined BJP.

In an exclusive interview to CNBC-TV18's Archana Shukla, she said, “I am an optimist and I feel there is always a place for truth, for development and always for the right thing. Mahagathbandhan is together only for the right thing and the right cause which is the development of this nation.”

She further said, “Once the Mahagathbandhan wins, we all like-minded parties will sit together and take a decision on who should be the Prime Minister. Right now it is not about who becomes the Prime Minister, right now it is who will put my country on the right track which is the most important thing.”

Sule will be contesting from the party stronghold of Baramati. The NCP has been winning from Baramati Lok Sabha seat since 1999.
