Haldia is an Assembly constituency in the Purba Medinipur district, in the South West Bengal region of West Bengal.
The Haldia constituency went to polls on April 1, 2021. The assembly seat is reserved for the Scheduled Caste category.

In the 2016 Assembly elections, Haldia was won by Tapasi Mondal of CPIM. Before that, in the 2011 elections, the seat was held by Seuli Saha of TMC.
In the 2016 assembly polls, Tapasi Mondal garnered 101330 votes, securing over 50.17 percent of the vote share, and winning the seat by a margin of 21493 votes. In percentage terms, the victory margin was 10.64 percent.
The constituency polled 202079 votes in the 2016 West Bengal assembly polls with a voter turnout of 90.47 percent.
The Haldia constituency has a literacy level of 87.66 percent. A total of 7 candidates stood in the 2016 elections.
